Fatal Car Accident on West Monte Vista Avenue near North Washington Road in Turlock

 
TURLOCK, CA (September 6, 2022) – A 51-year-old Stockton man was killed in a car accident on West Monte Vista Avenue late Saturday evening.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened on September 3 at about 11:37 p.m. A westbound 2011 Honda reportedly failed to stop at a stop sign as the driver attempted to enter a private dirt access road.
 
Then, the Honda crashed into a pole near North Washington Road. The impact of the collision ejected the driver, who was not wearing a seat belt, from the vehicle.
 
As per reports, the Honda also ran over the victim.
 
Emergency crews pronounced the driver dead at the scene. Authorities withheld the name of the victim, pending notification of next of kin.
 
Meanwhile, one passenger, identified as 22-year-old Victor Bedoy, did not sustain injuries in the collision.
 
CHP continues to investigate the cause of the fatal accident. Officers will release additional information once it becomes available.
