1 Killed, 4 Injured in Accident at 55th Street East and Palmdale Boulevard [Palmdale, CA]

Three-Vehicle Accident on 55th Street East in Palmdale Leaves 1 Dead

 
PALMDALE, CA (August 6, 2022) – One person died and four other people were injured after a three-vehicle accident at 55th Street East and Palmdale Boulevard on Saturday afternoon.
 
The accident happened around 4:29 p.m. on August 6. According to the Palmdale Sheriff’s Station, a Nissan Maxima rear-ended a Mercedes GLE 350 that was making a left turn from 55th Street East to Palmdale Boulevard. The Nissan also crashed head-on into a Mazda CX.
 
As a result of the crash, the Nissan driver died at the scene. He was a 70-year-old man.
 
A passenger in the Nissan was critically injured. Two people in the Mazda were also hurt in the crash.
 
Another person sustained injuries but declined transportation.
 
At this time, the cause of the crash is still under investigation.
