Man Dies after Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver on Ramon Road in Palm Springs

 
PALM SPRINGS, CA (August 6, 2022) – A man was killed in a hit-and-run crash on Ramon Road near Palm Springs International Airport early Friday morning, July 29.
 
The fatal crash happened around 3:00 a.m. at the intersection with El Place Road. According to the Palm Springs Police Department, the man was walking in the area when a dark-colored, two-door car struck him.
 
When officers arrived at the location, they found the man lying on the ground bleeding but was still responsive. Paramedics treated the victim at the scene and took him to a hospital where he underwent surgery for internal injuries.
 
On Friday, August 5, the man was declared dead at the hospital. He was not yet identified.
 
Authorities said the suspect vehicle is believed to be a newer Honda Civic.
