Mother Hurt, Michael Kiss Arrested after Pedestrian Accident near Harloe Elementary School

 
ARROYO GRANDE, CA (October 21, 2021) – Authorities identified Michael Kiss as the driver arrested following a hit-and-run accident near Harloe Elementary School, Tuesday morning.
 
According to the Arroyo Grande Police Department, the incident happened on October 19, at about 8:00 a.m. A mother was leading two children across the street when a vehicle hit her in the crosswalk of South Halcyon Road.
 
As per reports, the vehicle did not hit the children.
 
Emergency crews transported the mother to a hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
 
Officers confirmed that the driver, later identified as Kiss, attempted to flee the scene. However, officers found and detained Kiss on Farroll Avenue.
 
Authorities later booked Kiss into San Luis Obispo County Jail. His charges include a felony DUI with injury and a felony hit-and-run with injury.
