Morning Two-Vehicle Accident on Dry Creek Road in Rio Linda Kills 2 Horses and Leaves 1 Person Injured

 
RIO LINDA, CA (March 19, 2022) – One person was injured and two horses died after a two-vehicle accident on Dry Creek Road in Rio Linda on Wednesday morning.
 
The accident happened around 5:12 a.m. on March 16 at Elkhorn Boulevard. According to the Sacramento Metro Fire Department, crews responded to the scene and located two vehicles involved. They also found several horses that broke free from a property.
 
Sadly, two horses were killed in the crash. Two other horses are now missing and animal control is working to find their owner.
 
One person also suffered injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment.
 
At this time, an investigation is ongoing to determine the exact cause of the crash and liability.
