Rider Hurt after Motorcycle Accident on Avalon Drive near Ridgewood Drive in Eureka

 
EUREKA, CA (February 28, 2022) – A rider sustained injuries following a motorcycle accident on Avalon Drive on Thursday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened on February 24 at about 9:50 a.m. For reasons still under investigation, a motorcycle and a pickup truck collided near the intersection of Avalon Drive and Ridgewood Drive.
 
Emergency crews later transported the rider to a hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries. The condition of the victim remains unknown.
 
Meanwhile, the pickup driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
 
CHP continues to investigate the cause of the accident. Officers will release additional information once it becomes available.
