1 Killed in a Motorcycle Crash on Patterson Pass Road in San Joaquin County

 
SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY, CA (April 15, 2024) — One person died in a motorcycle accident on Patterson Pass Road near the 580 Freeway.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal motorcycle crash happened around 5:00 p.m. last Thursday. For an unknown reason, a southbound sedan driver drove across the dividing section of the road to make a U-turn in front of a motorcyclist. Subsequently, the 60-year-old motorcycle rider was unable to avoid the imminent accident and struck the right front side of the vehicle. Upon impact, the motorcyclist was ejected as the motorcycle overturned.
 
Minutes later, paramedics arrived and took the victim to San Joaquin General Hospital where he passed away. Officials have not released his name.
 
Authorities did not provide information on the sedan driver or ultimate cause. However, they confirmed alcohol and drugs did not play a role in the accent.
