LIVERMORE, CA (April 18, 2022) – One person sustained serious injuries following a head-on accident on Vasco Road, late Friday afternoon.
 
According to the East Contra Costa County Fire Protection District, the incident happened on April 15 shortly before 5:00 p.m. For reasons still under investigation, a white pickup truck and a light-colored sedan collided head-on near Los Vaqueros Road.
 
The impact of the crash trapped one victim inside a wrecked vehicle. Responders called the Alameda County Fire Department and Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department for assistance.
 
After extrication, the victim was airlifted to a hospital for treatment of critical injuries.
