John Jackson and Charles Burgess Involved in Deadly Pedestrian Crash in Yreka

 
YREKA, CA (October 6, 2022) — Charles Burgess and John Jackson were involved in a fatal pedestrian accident on Mill Creek Road near Greenhorn Road.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the suspected pedestrian accident happened early Wednesday morning.
 
Under unclear circumstances, a red Nissan pickup truck, driven by Charles Burgess, ran over a man lying in the roadway. Officers say that Burgess and his passenger John Jackson brought the man to Fairchild Medical Center, where the unidentified victim succumbed to his injuries.
 
From there, the medical staff informed officers about the fatality and accident. During the investigation, CHP officers learned that the incident occurred in an area with low visibility, in the mountainous region of Siskiyou County.
