Pedestrian Killed by Police Car on Mission Boulevard in Pomona

 
POMONA, CA (August 26, 2022) — A pedestrian was hit and killed by a patrol car on Mission Boulevard at Main Street on Wednesday.
 
According to the Los Angeles County Fire Department, the pedestrian incident occurred around 5:30 a.m. Under unclear circumstances, a police officer operating a Pomona police vehicle struck the pedestrian near the intersection.
 
Due to the nature of the crash, the victim – described as a man in his 50s – suffered fatal injuries.
 
Responding authorities investigated the area and the California Highway Patrol confirmed that the Pomona Patrol vehicle was involved in the accident. However, an investigation into the details is underway.
