At Least 1 Hurt, Cement Truck, Big Rig Collide on 580 Freeway in Livermore

 
LIVERMORE, CA (June 7, 2022) — At least one person was injured after a cement truck and a big rig crashed on the 580 Freeway near Vasco Road on Friday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the two-vehicle accident happened around 11:42 a.m. At least one person suffered minor injuries and required care by paramedics.
 
Due to the nature of the crash, authorities found approximately 10 to 15 gallons of diesel leaking from one of the trucks, which subsequently caused traffic delays from 12:44 p.m. to 2:20 p.m.
 
At this time, CHP officers have not indicated the ultimate cause of the crash. However, an ongoing investigation into this incident should confirm any unclear details.
