4 Hospitalized in El Dorado 3-Car Accident on Highway 49

 
EL DORADO, CA (June 7, 2022) — Four people suffered minor to serious injuries in a car crash on Highway 49 near China Hill Road on May 29.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the multi-vehicle accident happened around 1:00 p.m. For unknown reasons, a woman in her 70s heading northbound on the highway in a 2004 Toyota Avalon crossed into the southbound lane. Subsequently, her Toyota struck a 2012 Acura TL head-on, driven by a Roseville man and occupied by one passenger. A third car, described as a northbound Honda Accord driven by a woman in her 50s, also struck the Toyota Avalon.
 
Shortly after, emergency personnel reached the scene and brought the two Acura occupants and the El Dorado Hills female driver of the Honda to Marshall Hospital with serious injuries.
 
Meanwhile, paramedics treated the Toyota Avalon driver, a woman from Orangeville, for minor injuries at the same health care facility.
