Christopher Sanchez Dead in Bicycle Crash on Highway 18 near Old Waterman Canyon Road

 
SAN BERNARDINO, CA (March 3, 2022) — Officials said 24-year-old Christopher Sanchez died in a bicycle accident on Monday, February 28.
 
The incident took place on Highway 18 and lower Old Waterman Canyon Road shortly after 5:45 p.m.
 
According to reports, Sanchez rode a bike in the area. Then a silver Lexus SUV struck him.
 
The force of the incident sent Sanchez into the guardrail.
 
The driver who struck Sanchez and another motorist pulled over at the scene. They helped him until medical responders arrived.
 
Sanchez was in critical condition and later died of his sustained injuries.
 
Reports said the driver of the Lexus was a man in his late 50s.
