Glider Goes Down in Perris, Pilot Escapes Serious Injury

 
PERRIS, CA (February 16, 2022) — A glider went down on the south edge of Perris Valley Airport near Mapes Road and Goetz Road on Monday.
 
According to the Riverside County Fire Department, the incident occurred around 1:20 p.m. Upon responding, firefighters found the glider had impacted the ground. However, they did not confirm whether the glider had hard landed or nose-dived into the ground.
 
As a result of the accident, the pilot suffered non-life-threatening injuries and required hospital care.
