3 Killed in Modesto Crash with Semi-Truck on Carver Road

MODESTO, CA (February 2, 2022) — Three people died in an accident with a big rig on Carver Road at Briggsmore Avenue on Tuesday afternoon.
 
According to Modesto police officers, the fatal big rig crash happened around 4:15 p.m. Under unclear circumstances, a semi-truck became involved in a crash with a vehicle.
 
Soon after, paramedics reached the scene. According to the Modesto Police Department, two people died at the scene.
 
However, officials transported two people to a hospital for treatment of unknown injuries.
 
Meanwhile, the uninjured driver of the tractor-trailer stayed at the scene and cooperated with police investigators.
 
At this time, detectives have not confirmed the leading cause of the crash. However, anyone with information should contact the authorities.
