SAN DIEGO, CA (February 2, 2022) — A man died in an accident with a dump truck on Los Coches Road near Lakeview Road on Tuesday.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly 2-car accident occurred around 2:00 p.m. For unknown reasons, a 56-year-old man driving a 2005 Audi A6 drifted from the northbound lane to the southbound side. Subsequently, the Audi collided head-on with a southbound 2006 International 4400DT dump truck, driven by a 60-year-old San Diego man.
 
Due to the nature of the crash, the Audi driver – who was not wearing a seatbelt at the time – died at Sharp Memorial Hospital in San Diego.
 
Meanwhile, paramedics brought his 42-year-old female passenger and the trucker to hospitals for treatment of minor to moderate injuries.
 
At this time, the primary cause of this accident requires additional investigation. However, anyone with information should contact the authorities.
