Bicyclist Dies after Struck by Car on Pacific Coast Highway near Seapoint Street
HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA (January 24, 2022) – Kelly Carrington was killed in a bicycle accident in Huntington Beach, late Thursday evening.
The accident happened around 11:20 p.m. on January 23 on Pacific Coast Highway north of Seapoint Street. According to the Huntington Beach Police Department, Carrington was riding his bicycle when a northbound 2010 Lexus ES 350 struck him.
When officers arrived, they found Carrington lying on the roadway with fatal injuries. They pronounced him dead at the scene.
Carrington was a 52-year-old Los Angeles resident.
The Lexus driver, a 79-year-old man, suffered minor injuries along with his wife. Paramedics took them to a hospital for treatment.
Police do not believe drugs or alcohol was a factor in the crash, which is still under investigation.
