Man Injured in Bicycle Accident on East Shaw Avenue [Fresno, CA]

One Hospitalized after Bicycle Accident on East Shaw Avenue near North Blackstone Avenue

 
FRESNO, CA (January 19, 2022) – A man sustained injuries in a bicycle accident on East Shaw Avenue, early Tuesday morning.
 
According to the Fresno Police Department, the incident happened on January 18 at about 6:00 a.m. For unknown reasons, a car hit the bicyclist in the eastbound lanes near North Blackstone Avenue.
 
Emergency crews transported the bicyclist to a hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. Authorities did not release the name of the victim.
 
Responders temporarily closed the eastbound lanes of East Shaw Avenue.
 
Fresno police continue to investigate the cause of the accident. Officers will release additional information once it becomes available.
