22-Year-Old Cody Tornquist Dies after Motorcycle Crash on McHenry Avenue near Rumble Road

 
MODESTO, CA (January 19, 2022) – Authorities identified 22-year-old Cody Tornquist of Salida as the motorcyclist killed in an accident on Saturday afternoon.
 
According to the Modesto Police Department, the incident happened on January 15. The motorcyclist reportedly ran a red light at the intersection. Then, his motorcycle collided with a Buick that was turning left into a parking lot near Rumble Road.
 
The impact of the collision ejected Tornquist from his motorcycle.
 
Paramedics later pronounced Tornquist dead at the scene.
 
Meanwhile, the Buick driver remained and cooperated with investigators. As per reports, the driver did not sustain injuries.
 
Modesto police continue to investigate the cause of the fatal accident. Officers will release additional information once it becomes available.
