Fresno Man Dies after Struck by Hit-And-Run Drivers In Stockton

 
STOCKTON, CA (November 9, 2021) – Marino Daniel Lopez was killed in a hit-and-run crash on California Street in Stockton Saturday evening.
 
The fatal crash happened around 7:00 p.m. on November 6, near Wyandotte Street. According to the Stockton Police Department, Lopez was walking in the area when a vehicle struck him. While lying in the roadway, another vehicle also hit him.
 
Both drivers involved fled the scene without rendering aid.
 
Several good Samaritans tried to save the victim, stopping traffic and calling 911.
 
First responders pronounced Lopez dead at the scene. He was a 24-year-old Fresno resident.
 
Police described the suspect vehicles as a dark-colored SUV and dark-colored sedan.
 
At this time, an investigation is still ongoing. Both drivers face felony hit and run charges.
