Rollover Accident on Rio Miranda Drive in Bakersfield Leaves 1 Dead
BAKERSFIELD, CA (November 9, 2021) – A woman died in a rollover accident on Rio Mirada Drive in north Bakersfield Sunday evening.
The fatal accident happened on November 7 near the Kern County Water Agency. According to the California Highway Patrol, a vehicle was traveling in the area when it overturned for unknown reasons.
The impact ejected the woman from the vehicle and the vehicle landed on top of her, CHP officials said.
As a result, the woman suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. She was not yet identified. It is unclear if the victim was the driver or a passenger in the vehicle.
At this time, the cause of the crash and factors involved remain under investigation.
