Child Hurt after Object Strikes Moving Car on Highway 101

 
LOS ANGELES, CA (October 19, 2021) — A child faces an injury after an object hits a moving car on Highway 101 near Silver Lake Boulevard Monday afternoon.
 
According to reports, the incident occurred around 1:45 p.m. Under unclear circumstances, a gray Nissan Sentra traveling southbound on the highway had its rear windshield smashed after an object struck it. As a result, a child suffered an injury as he or she began bleeding in the mouth.
 
As of now, officers have no leads as to what led to this incident or if any suspects were involved. However, any witnesses with information should contact the California Highway Patrol.
