Pedestrian Dies after Struck by Vehicle on South Lime Avenue in East Compton

 
EAST COMPTON, CA (October 19, 2021) – One person died in a pedestrian accident at South Lime Avenue and East Compton Boulevard Friday evening.
 
The fatal accident happened around 7:18 p.m. on October 15. According to the California Highway Patrol, the pedestrian was walking at the intersection when a vehicle struck them.
 
As a result, the pedestrian suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. Coroner’s officials withheld the victim’s identity pending notification of next of kin.
 
It is unclear on the initial report if the involved driver has stayed after the crash.
 
The circumstances of the accident remain under investigation.
