Head-On Accident on Rio Linda Boulevard Leaves One with Major Injuries

 
RIO LINDA, CA (October 14, 2021) – At least one person suffered serious injuries after a head-on accident at Rio Linda Boulevard and Marysville Boulevard.
 
The accident happened just before 6:00 p.m. on Thursday last week, October 7. According to the California Highway Patrol, a motorist in a white sedan was driving recklessly when they slammed head-on into a dark-colored pickup truck. The impact caused the sedan to lose its front wheel.
 
Firefighters along with paramedics arrived soon after and found one person with major injuries. They took the patient to the Mercy San Juan Medical Center for proper treatment.
 
Meanwhile, crews shut down the roadway in both directions for about an hour while they cleared the wreckage.
 
The crash is still under investigation.
