OROVILLE, CA (October 5, 2021) — A cattle truck accident on Highway 162 at Wickman Road injured two people early Saturday morning in Oroville.
 
The California Highway Patrol Oroville Division reported that they responded to the incident at about 1:45 a.m. Upon arriving at the scene, they found a semi-truck with dozens of trapped steer inside. Additionally, several dozen of the cattle ran loose on the highway.
 
Based on preliminary findings, the driver of the truck swerved to avoid hitting a deer.
 
The driver and a passenger suffered minor injuries in the crash. They received treatment at a local hospital.
