2 Drivers Sustain Injuries, 1 Seriously in Calistoga Crash on Highway 29 at Dunaweal Lane

 
CALISTOGA, CA (July 12, 2021)Kevin Young sustained serious injuries after a head-on accident in Calistoga Thursday morning, July 8.
 
The accident happened around 6:30 a.m. on Highway 29 at Dunaweal Lane. According to the California Highway Patrol, 33-year-old Kevin Young of Windsor was driving a 2011 Ford Mustang coupe north on Highway 29. For unknown reasons, his car crossed the center line north of Azalea Springs Road.
 
The Ford then collided head-on with and a southbound 2015 GMC Sierra, driven by 33-year-old Eric Valencia Jr. of Santa Rosa.
 
As a result, Young suffered major injuries and was taken by American Medical Response ambulance to Providence Queen of the Valley Medical Center.
 
Paramedics also took Valencia to the same hospital with minor injuries.
 
It is unknown if speed, drugs or alcohol played a factor in the crash. An investigation is underway.
