Fiery Accident on South Vermont Avenue Seriously Injures Man and Woman

 
VERMONT SQUARE, CA (July 13, 2021) – Two people sustained serious injuries after a fiery accident on South Western Avenue Sunday.
 
The accident happened around 1:05 p.m. on July 11, near West 51st Place in the Vermont Square area. According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, a vehicle carrying two people had crashed for unknown reasons and burst into flames.
 
The fire extended into vegetation on a vacant lot and exposed one house to the flames.
 
As a result of the crash, the two occupants suffered serious injuries. Paramedics took them to a hospital in unknown conditions.
 
Authorities only described the patients as a man and a woman in their 20s.
 
One Los Angeles police officer sustained a minor cut but declined transportation.
 
The crash was being investigated by LAPD’s South Traffic Division.
