Driver Ejected and Suffers Serious Injuries in Hit-and-Run Crash on Highway 94 in Lemon Grove

 
LEMON GROVE, CA (July 13, 2021) – A driver sustained serious injuries in a hit-and-run accident on Highway 94 in Lemon Grove early Thursday morning.
 
The accident happened around 2:00 a.m. on July 8, near Lemon Grove Avenue. According to the California Highway Patrol, the victim was driving a Mercedes-Benz sedan westbound on the highway when another vehicle struck his car.
 
The impact caused the Mercedes to veer off the freeway. It then went up an embankment and hit a signpost.
 
The Mercedes driver was ejected and suffered major injuries. Paramedics transported him to a hospital in an unknown condition.
 
Meanwhile, the second driver fled the scene and remains at large.
 
CHP officials are still investigating the crash and on the lookout for the suspect.
