Zamora Monroy Detained, Infant Hurt in DUI Accident near Highway 126 and Commerce Center Drive

 
NEWHALL, CA (December 19, 2022) Zamora Monroy was arrested in a DUI crash near Highway 26 and Commerce Center Drive Wednesday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol Newhall Area office, the DUI accident happened around 2:20 a.m. For alcohol-related reasons, 28-year-old Monroy crashed her vehicle, drawing first responded to the scene. Upon arriving, paramedics found her child in the car unbuckled and with injuries.
 
As paramedics ushered the child to the hospital for care, police arrested the Santa Clarita woman on felony DUI and child endangerment. Authorities subsequently booked her into the SCV Sheriff’s Station with a bail set at $100,000.
