PINON HILLS, CA (September 29, 2022) – Zachary Warren Jimenez was killed in a pedestrian accident in Pinon Hills late Wednesday evening, September 21.
 
The fatal accident happened around 11:22 p.m. on Highway 138, just east of Ponderosa Road. According to the California Highway Patrol, Jimenez was walking on the highway when a vehicle struck him.
 
The impact caused 30-year-old Pinon Hills resident Jimenez fatal injuries and he died at the scene.
 
It is unclear if the involved driver has stayed after the crash. It is also unknown if drugs or alcohol was a factor.
 
An investigation into this fatality is underway.
