Woman Riding Motorized Mini Bike Suffers Severe Injuries after Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver on 27th Street in South LA

 
SOUTH LOS ANGELES, CA (August 16, 2023) – A woman suffered severe injuries in a hit-and-run crash at 27th Street and Griffith Avenue in South Los Angeles area early Sunday morning.
 
The crash happened around 3:45 a.m. on August 13. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the woman was riding a motorized mini bike when a car struck her.
 
After the crash, the driver of the car fled the scene leaving the woman with severe injuries.
 
Paramedics took the badly injured woman to a hospital for treatment.
 
The victim later described the suspect car as a dark-colored, box style passenger vehicle similar to Scion xB, KIA Soul, Nissan Cube or Honda Element.
 
The city of Los Angeles offered a standing reward of up to $25,000 for information that helps solve this case.
