Passenger Suffers Major Injuries after Head-On Crash on Panama Lane in Bakersfield

 
BAKERSFIELD, CA (April 27, 2022) – A woman was seriously injured after a head-on accident on Panama Lane in Bakersfield on Tuesday afternoon.
 
The accident happened around 1:17 p.m. on April 26. According to the Bakersfield Police Department, the woman was a passenger in an SUV that had drifted into oncoming traffic. Officials said the driver of the SUV had a medical event prior crashing into the another car in the 1100 block of Panama Lane.
 
As a result of the crash, the woman suffered major injuries. Paramedics took her to a local hospital, where she is now listed in stable condition.
 
Both male drivers only sustained minor injuries.
 
Police said drugs or alcohol do not appear to be factors to the crash. An investigation is ongoing.
