Fatal Pedestrian Accident on Senter Road in San Jose

 
SAN JOSE, CA (May 23, 2021) – A woman died in a pedestrian accident on Senter Road in San Jose late Friday evening, May 21.
 
The accident happened around 10:48 p.m. near the intersection with Lewis Road. According to the San Jose Police Department, the woman was walking across the six-lane route, outside of any marked crosswalk, when a southbound 1991 Honda Civic struck her.
 
As a result, the woman suffered severe injuries and died at the scene. Her identity was not immediately available.
 
The driver of the Honda remained on scene and cooperated with authorities.
 
Alcohol or any other impairment was not a factor in the accident. Further investigation is underway.
