Passenger Dies after Ejected from Motorcycle During Crash on Arlington Avenue in Riverside

 
RIVERSIDE, CA (October 17, 2022) – A woman was killed in a motorcycle accident on Arlington Avenue in Riverside early Saturday morning, October 15.
 
The accident happened around 3:00 a.m. near Fairhaven Drive. Police said a 2020 Buell motorcycle, driven by a 41-year-old Norco resident, with a 37-year-old female passenger, was traveling at a high rate of speed eastbound on Arlington Avenue when it failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway and struck the south curb.
 
The impact ejected both driver and passenger from the motorcycle.
 
First responders pronounced the passenger dead at the scene. The victim was also from Norco.
 
The driver suffered major injuries to the lower extremities and was rushed to a hospital.
 
The Riverside Police Department believe drugs and/or alcohol were contributing factors to the crash. They urged anyone with information about the accident to contact traffic Detective George Anderson of the RPD at 951-826-8723.
