Pedestrian Dies after Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver on Sierra Highway in Lancaster

 
LANCASTER, CA (June 11, 2023) – A woman died in a hit-and-run crash on Sierra Highway in Lancaster early Friday morning on June 9.
 
The fatal crash happened around 2:25 a.m. at Lancaster Boulevard. According to the Lancaster Sheriff’s Station, the female adult pedestrian was struck by a brown Chevrolet Tahoe in the intersection.
 
After striking her, the driver of the SUV took off without rendering aid.
 
The woman suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. Authorities withheld her identity pending next of kin notification.
