Pedestrian Dies after Struck by Vehicle on Brookhurst Street in Anaheim, Driver Arrested for DUI

 
ANAHEIM, CA (December 26, 2023) – A woman was killed in a DUI pedestrian crash on Brookhurst Street in Anaheim Saturday night on December 23.
 
The fatal crash happened just after 6:20 p.m. just north of Ball Road. According to the Anaheim Police Department, the female pedestrian was walking in the area when a vehicle struck her.
 
First responders found the woman suffering from critical injuries. They rushed her to a hospital, where she later died.
 
The victim’s identity was not immediately released.
 
The driver of the involved vehicle remained on scene and was later arrested on suspicion of DUI.
 
Officers shut down Brookhurst Street in both directions between Ball Road and Orange Avenue for several hours while they investigated the crash.
