Collision Between Semi Truck and SUV on Airport Road in Taft Leaves Woman Injured

 
TAFT, CA (October 12, 2022) – A woman was injured in a semi-truck accident at Airport Road and Gas Company Road on Friday afternoon.
 
The accident happened around 12:41 p.m. on October 7. CHP officials said an SUV and the semi truck pulling two trailers loaded with hay collided at the intersection.
 
As a result, the female passenger in the SUV sustained minor to moderate injuries. A ground ambulance took her to a hospital for proper treatment.
 
Two other people in the SUV and the truck driver escaped injury.
 
The load on the truck has shifted and the hay will have to be off-loaded before the road can be cleared.
 
It is unknown what caused the crash. The California Highway Patrol is handling the investigation.
