Woman Hurt after Pedestrian Accident on Rancho Bernardo Road near Espola Road

 
POWAY, CA (November 22, 2021) — A woman suffered injuries in a pedestrian accident on Rancho Bernardo Road on Thursday, November 18.
 
The crash happened at around 5:40 p.m. where Rancho Bernardo Road becomes Espola Road at Summerfield Lane.
 
A Ford Econoline van driven by a 57-year-old man struck the pedestrian. There were no other details about the incident available.
 
Paramedics rushed the victim to Palomar Medical Center in Escondido with minor injuries, sheriff’s Sgt. Dave Toner said.
 
The sheriff’s Poway substation tweeted later on that she was in stable condition.
 
The van’s driver was not hurt. Alcohol was not a factor in the incident.
 
The sheriff’s Traffic Accident Reconstruction Team also arrived at the scene to help investigate.
