Woman Hurt in Pedestrian Crash at Gettysburg Avenue in Fresno

 
FRESNO, CA (November 7, 2022) — A woman was injured in a pedestrian accident at Gettysburg Avenue and First Street.
 
According to Fresno Police, the pedestrian crash happened around 9:45 p.m. on Saturday. For unknown reasons, driver heading westbound on Gettysburg Avenue struck a woman attempting to cross the street.
 
As a result of the crash, the woman sustained significant head injuries, despite being conscious and breathing when paramedics responded.
 
Following the accident, medics brought her to a local hospital for care.
 
In the investigation, Fresno Police Officers learned that multiple witnesses and the driver did not see the woman crossing the street at the time of the accident.
