TULARE, CA (February 21, 2022) — A woman suffered serious injuries in a hit-and-run scooter accident on Highway 137 near Road 96.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the hit-and-run crash occurred Friday just west of Road 96. For unknown reasons, an unidentified driver struck a woman operating a motorized scooter with no lights.
 
Subsequently, the driver left the scene toward Tulare, leaving the victim with major injuries.
 
However, the driver connected with police officers and confessed to being involved in the accident.
 
As of now, the victim remains in recovery with serious injuries. However, the incident requires further investigation by authorities. If anyone has additional knowledge to share, please call the police.
