SANTA CRUZ, CA (September 27, 2022) — A woman was hit and injured by a car on Highway 1 near Wilder Ranch State Park.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the pedestrian accident happened around 4:19 p.m. on Monday.
 
For possible DUI-related reasons, a woman appearing drunk began crossing the road when she was hit by a car. Just after 4:20 p.m., a call came in, and CHP officers responded to the scene.
 
Authorities had to close both lanes of Highway 1 at Wilder Ranch State Park for the investigation and cleanup. It’s unclear what type of injuries the woman sustained.
