Motorcyclist Dies after Struck by Hit-and-Run Sedan on Fairfax Avenue in Mid-City

 
MID-CITY, CA (September 27, 2022) – A motorcyclist was killed in a hit-and-run crash on Fairfax Avenue in the Mid-City area late Sunday evening, September 25.
 
The fatal crash happened around 10:20 p.m. on Fairfax Avenue near the entrance to the 10 Freeway. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, a black four-door sedan was traveling northbound on Fairfax Avenue. As it negotiated a left turn onto the westbound 10 Freeway on-ramp, it struck the man who was riding a 2023 Kawasaki ZX-6R motorcycle on southbound Fairfax Avenue.
 
After the crash, the sedan drove away.
 
The motorcyclist, in his 20s, died at the scene. Information on his identity was not immediately available.
 
The city of Los Angeles offered a standing reward of up to $50,000 for help in solving this case. Anyone with information on the case was urged to call police at 213-473-0234, or Crime Stoppers at 800-222-TIPS.
