1 Dead in Wrong-Way Crash on Highway 125 in Spring Valley

 
SPRING VALLEY, CA (March 13, 2024) — A woman died in a wrong-way accident on Highway 125 near Jamacha Road.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the wrong-way accident happened around 3:00 a.m. Sunday. For an unknown reason, an unidentified woman was driving her silver sedan southbound on the northbound lanes of Highway 125. Subsequently, her vehicle crashed into a concrete bridge, sending her car slamming into a metal chain link fence.
 
Shortly after, paramedics and CHP officers arrived to learn that her Honda Civic plunged off the highway to the ground below. Tragically, she passed away from her injuries. Officials did not release her name.
 
At this time, traffic investigators are combing through evidence to identify the ultimate cause. If anyone has information, please call the CHP.
