1 Killed in DUI, 3-Vehicle Crash on Lakeville Highway in Sonoma County

 
SONOMA COUNTY, CA (November 27, 2023) — A woman died in a DUI 3-car accident on Lakeville Highway near Stage Gulch Road on Tuesday.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the multi-car crash occurred around 2:40 p.m. For DUI reasons, a southbound Chevrolet Colorado driver lost control and struck a northbound Toyota Tundra pickup in the opposing lane. Subsequently, the Toyota turned into the southbound lane and slammed into a Kia Sorento SUV traveling behind the Chevrolet.
 
Soon after, authorities responded to learn that the Kia SUV overturned on impact, killing its front female passenger. Meanwhile, the Kia driver suffered major injuries and was airlifted to a hospital for care.
 
As the Toyota driver suffered moderate injuries, police booked the Chevrolet driver into the Sonoma County Jail on suspicion of DUI.
 
At the time of the report, officials did not release the victim’s name. However, we will update this report once we get new details.
