Man Dies after Struck by Semi Truck on Monterey Highway at Blossom Hill Road

 
SAN JOSE, CA (February 9, 2023) – Weishan Xu was killed in a pedestrian accident in San Jose Monday evening on February 6.
 
The fatal accident happened just after 9:00 p.m. on Monterey Highway at Blossom Hill Road. According to the San Jose Police Department, Xu was walking outside of a marked crosswalk when a southbound 2015 Kenworth semi truck with a trailer struck him.
 
Xu suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. He was a 78-year-old San Jose resident.
 
The driver of the semi truck pulled over and cooperated with police.
 
An investigation into this fatality is ongoing.
