Virginia Godinez, Roberto Carrancho Uninjured in Fatal Motorcycle Crash on Highway 129 near Murphy Road

 
SANTA CRUZ, CA (June 1, 2023) Virginia Godinez and Roberto Carrancho escaped injury in a deadly motorcycle accident on Highway 129 near Murphy Road.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal motorcycle collision happened around 7:36 p.m. Sunday. For an unknown reason, a westbound 2009 Toyota Corolla struck a Harley-Davidson. The 54-year-old motorcycle rider suffered major injuries in the crash, which prompted paramedics to usher him to a hospital. However, despite receiving life-saving measures, the Hollister man succumbed to his injuries at Natividad Medical Center. Officials have not released his name.
 
The Toyota passenger and driver — Virginia Godinez and Roberto Carrancho — were uninjured in the accident.
 
At this time, investigators do not have information on the cause of the crash or if impairment played a factor. Although, an investigation into the fatal crash should reveal the details.
