Woman Killed in Pedestrian Crash on Home Avenue in San Diego

 
SAN DIEGO, CA (June 1, 2023) — A woman died in Wednesday’s pedestrian accident on Home Avenue near Gateway Drive.
 
According to the San Diego Police Department, the deadly pedestrian accident happened around 5:00 a.m.
 
Under unclear circumstances, a black 2007 Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck heading eastbound in the No. 2 lane struck a 59-year-old female walking parallel to the road. Subsequently, a white pickup truck ran over the victim as she was lying on the road.
 
Soon after, emergency crews arrived at the scene and rendered life-saving measures, but the woman died as a result of her injuries.
 
The drivers of both vehicles stayed at the scene. Traffic investigators do not know the liabilities of the crash, but the San Diego Police Department traffic division is investigating the incident further.
