Rear-End Accident Involving Amazon Truck on Lower Sacramento Road in Lodi

 
LODI, CA (August 1, 2022) – Two people were seriously injured in a rear-end accident on Lower Sacramento Road in Lodi on Thursday afternoon, July 28.
 
The accident happened shortly after 2:15 p.m. at East Harney Lane. According to the California Highway Patrol, a vehicle rear-ended an Amazon delivery truck, sending it down a ditch and causing it wrap around an oak tree. The truck then landed on its side.
 
First responders removed the trapped delivery driver from the vehicle.
 
The Amazon driver and the passenger of the other vehicle were then taken to hospitals with major but non-life-threatening injuries.
 
The other driver had minor injuries and was also hospitalized.
 
At this time, the cause and factors involved in the crash remain under investigation.
