Pedestrian Dies after Struck by Car on Lindley Drive in Sacramento

 
SACRAMENTO, CA (August 1, 2022) – A woman died in a pedestrian accident at Lindley Drive and Edgewater Road in Sacramento on Friday evening, July 29.
 
The fatal accident happened around 7:20 p.m., according to the Sacramento Police Department, the female pedestrian was walking in the area when a car struck her. The impact caused her serious injuries.
 
Paramedics rushed the woman to a hospital, where the victim later died.
 
The driver remained on scene and cooperated with police. They are not believed to have been driving while impaired.
