Hit-and-Run Crash Involving Two Vehicles on 10 Freeway in Fontana Turns Deadly

 
FONTANA, CA (March 8, 2022) – Two people died in a hit-and-run crash on 10 Freeway in Fontana, early Sunday morning.
 
The fatal crash happened around 4:54 a.m. on March 6, just west of Citrus Avenue. According to the California Highway Patrol, a Toyota vehicle collided into a Chevrolet for unknown reasons. The impact caused the Chevrolet to become fully engulfed in flames.
 
When officers arrived, they located two people dead inside the burning vehicle. The identities of the victims were not immediately available.
 
The driver of the Toyota fled the scene and is being sought by authorities.
 
The California Highway Patrol is still investigating the fatal crash.
